I am helping my daughter with her science fair project and she has decided to go with alternative energy. From that she decided she wanted to build a model solar home or car and show how using solar energy would help decrease pollution. Her science teacher has told her to make sure she uses more than one variable..Now we are lost..What variables can be used with this type of project? Any help will be greatly appreciated…

I live in Australia and I’m part of the “alternative” community. I have spent many years travelling around the place and in my travels I’ve visited a lot of homes which are completely reliant on solar power for all their needs. I have lived in a couple of rental houses in remote communities which have foregone the outrageous expense of having the infrastructure built to connect to the grid in favour of the (approximately) $AUD4 000 to get a full solar set-up installed. It works. without any maintenance or worries at all.

Where can I locate information about all types of solar energy for my home.

solar panels on homes would reduce our consuption of coal, reduce the need for nuclear power, and create U.S. Based manufacturing for these panels, and create jobs in constuction.

Solve our energy crisis politicians, with tax incentives, or home building regulation.
