what countries around the world use solar power to create electricity ( e.i. photovoltaic, concentrating solar power) please leave a web site. thanks!

I’m thinking of adding an addition to the house and putting in solar power (electricity, not heating water). Any experiences to report? I’m afraid it will break down and nobody will be available to fix it. Also if it needs repair, it might eat into savings so that electricity ends up costing more.

Im just curious as to if this is even possible. How much total power is used on average by the US? How much would it cost to make this many solar panels or other systems to make electricity from the sun? Im trying to figure out an estimate of how much it would cost to get all the electricity used in the us from solar power.

electricity to get the car going.and the tire rotating to cause friction like a windmill to recharge the battery like a altenator on a car. not to run the car be keep but the battery charged

I live in Florida & I have one of those really high stand alone antannaes which isn’t currently used for anything (in case that can be used for projfect).

I am thinking of someday in the near (or little farther) future using solar power to replace, or reduce my current electrical company usage, so that I can slowly wean myself of the “government grid”.

But I am wondering, how feasible it is to use solar panels, and related items, to generate the amount of electricity necessary to power all the electrical items used daily in a home, like the lights, fridge & freezer, the stove, oven, TV’s, computers, clocks, etc.

Of course, I doubt, at least at first that it will be possible to completely eliminate the need & use of traditional electric services.

But as much as I hate government (and eventually hope to emigrate elsewhere) I want to wean myself off the government controlled system as much as possible, if not totally someday.

Is it possible to run a home entirely on solar power, and still generate enough power to run all the appliances of daily life??

Actually it’s not the question I want to ask, I know it’s possible, I’m using this to propose my idea on how to generate steam instead of hot water, using solar powered cells, and then using the steam in turbines to generate electricity for all countries, that could be enough for all Europe on a large scale. Is anyone interested?
