Earth4Energy – Review… #4 Rated

Rating: 8.5/10earth4box00

Looking for wind power or home solar energy system?   Earth4Energy has what you need to cut back on your bills while helping the environment out at the same time.  There is a load of information in the form of videos, CDs and ebooks for you to take advantage of with this membership.

In order to become a member of Earth4Energy, there is a one time payment that you will have to make.  You will never be billed again once you have purchased your membership.  Unlike many other programs on the internet, there are no hidden costs.  The only fee you will be charged is $49.97 (currently reduced to $39.97) and you will receive the manual and video instructions.

The Good…

One of the first things you will receive with your membership is an eBook about building your own wind power or home solar energy system.  This eBook will help you better understand energy production and how it works.  In addition, it will show you how to make your very own solar panels and windmills thus saving you hundreds of dollars.

The next feature to take advantage of, with an Earth4Energy membership, are the different videos offered.  These instructional videos are going to help you learn how to piece together your solar cells and string them together.  You will also receive a video on building a wind turbine.

If you are looking for something you can access on the computer without internet, the CD is the perfect alternative for you.  It offers all of the information you need to start taking advantage of your own home solar energy system.  It is just another outlet you can rely on for tips and information.

As a member, you will also be given the opportunity to purchase the Go Green Value Pack at a special price.  This value pack includes a guide for how to install a solar hot water system into your home, how to create an organic garden next to your home, and how you can cut back on gas prices by combining water and fuel to increase your fuel mileage.

The NOT So Good…

Although the ebooks contain a lot of useful information, they are not as detailed as I would have liked.  A few more photos thrown in here and there, instead of just text, would have been beneficial.

The 3 available videos are very limited in scope and don’t cover every aspect of solar panel construction.  In fact, there are only two videos about solar panels.  One on adding tabs to the photovoltaic (solar) cells and the other on joining the cells together.  If you buy solar cells that come pre-tabbed, then the first video becomes useless.

The videos can not be downloaded.  You’ll need a laptop with internet connection if you want to view the videos at your workstation.  You can get the videos on CD, but there will be an additional cost for that.  You will, however, receive some energy related ebooks as a bonus.

The only wind turbine video also has a narrow focus.  Although it provides great detail, it only shows you how to make the blades for your windmill and nothing else.

The Bottom Line

Earth4Energy provides practical advice and instructions for building your own solar panels and your own wind turbine.  It has all the information you need to make your own wind power or home solar energy system and is certainly a program you are going to want to take into consideration.

Personally, I feel there are better options available.  Both Home Made Energy and Green DIY Energy have a superior collection of detailed videos that cover every aspect of building solar panels.  If videos are not your thing then Earth4Energy is a worthy option.
