HomeMadeEnergy – Review… #1 Rated

Rating: 10/10

MME BOX2 HomeMadeEnergy has all of the tips and information you need to make the most of  a home solar energy system.  With a wide array of videos, which are some of the best you can find, anyone with a few hours and a simple tool kit can create a system to generate energy for their homes using wind or sunlight.

A lot of  companies sell a wind powered or home solar energy system which you can buy for tens of  thousands of  dollars installed.  These systems are fantastic, but most families simply cannot afford this expense.  However, by using the instructions included in the HomeMadeEnergy package, you can begin building a solar or wind powered system for less than $200.

In addition to creating you own energy, HomeMadeEnergy is offering something unique to its members.  You will instantly gain access to ‘Simple Water Fuel.‘  This program claims to be the best guide you can find on how to use water to increase your gas mileage.  You would typically have to purchase the Simple Water Fuel package for $97, which still is not bad considering the amount of money you could save in gas.  However, as a member of this program you will be able to take advantage of this product for just $47.  Personally I haven’t tried this yet, but it does sound interesting.

The Good…

As a member of HomeMadeEnergy, you will gain access to eight videos based on a wide array of different subjects.  The first video is an introduction video on how to make home solar energy on your own.  Instead of wasting hundreds or thousands of dollars on expensive equipment, you can do it yourself at minimal cost.

The second video is going to highlight photovoltaic system components and types with the third video looking at specific details you need to consider before getting hooked on a grid-tier system.  Some of the other videos will provide you with valuable details and information include electrical basics, photovoltaic system design and sizing, plus the tools and batteries you will need to build your system.

But the backbone of this package are the 7 instructional do-it-yourself videos that you can download.  A guy named Ben Ford will provide you with step-by-step detail on how to prepare the solar cells, how to wire them, what materials to use for your panel, how to connect the solar cells to your panel and then test the completed solar panel.

What I found interesting is that Ben made some unplanned errors in building his solar panel.  But, instead of editing them out, he showed you how to fix the errors and explained what happened so you can make sure you don’t make the same mistakes.

The NOT So Good…

Some videos were a little too detailed.  Too much time was spent on measuring exactly where the solar cells would go on your panel.  An easier method is to just lay them on your panel and mark them off, after you’ve connected your solar cells together.  It’s a lot quicker than resorting to the tedious, time consuming method shown in the video.

No video at all for building a wind turbine.

The written guide is lacking in substance.  Without the videos, you’d be lost trying to build solar panels with the guide alone.

The Bottom Line

There is a lot to know when it comes to building your own wind power and home solar energy system.  It certainly is not a simple task to build solar panels and wind turbines on your own, but it’s also not that difficult.

In our opinion, HomeMadeEnergy is the best solar and wind power course on the market.  You will be provided with a wealth of highly informative and detailed videos to help you throughout the process.

You will be off to living a safer, cheaper and more efficient lifestyle in no time with your own wind power or home solar energy system.  Although the written manual was not great, the detail provided in the videos more than makes up for it making this our number one choice.
