What would be the least expensive way to create electricity through solar power?
I live in Florida & I have one of those really high stand alone antannaes which isn’t currently used for anything (in case that can be used for projfect).

Sometimes you can get used panels from people who don’t want them anymore, or online. Solar panels have a fair amount of wind loading, so it probably wouldn’t be good, or even necessary, to put them on the antenna. Anywhere that they will see sun most of the day would work.
There really isn’t a cheap way to get electricity from the sun. Hot water is a different story – you can get several gallons of hot water using just several hundred feet of garden hose.

If you are looking for immediate results with the least amount of money invested then you would be wanting to build your own wind turbine (wind is created by solar radiation unevenly heating the earth surface FYI).
doober above me is right that passive solar is the least expensive and fastest return on your investment.

Concentrating solar power (CSP) is the cheapest way of creating electricity with solar. If you’re a do it yourselfer, look into building a stirling engine and having a few mirrors reflect sunlight onto the hot part of it. I made one out of soda cans, but haven’t gotten around to making one larger yet. Also, there are bimetallic strips that produce a current when heat passes from one side to the other, but not sure where to find them.
